- Overview
A developer of Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities engaged Engsolve to provide comprehensive technical support for a Syngas power generation initiative from Refuse Derived Fuel. The project progressed from technology assessment to facility design and long-term technical advisory.
- Description of Services
The project began with a detailed communication with the client and all parties, to understand their expectations, performance criteria, commercial goals, and various constraints. The primary objective was to assess and identify suitable gasification technologies capable of processing Refuse Derived Fuel, followed by feasibility design work for several proposed sites.
With this framework in place, Engsolve conducted an extensive review of existing gasification technologies, collecting both technical specifications and commercial data. A structured screening process was carried out to evaluate each technology’s efficiency, scalability, and alignment with the specific requirements of the clients.
Once the most viable gasification of Refuse Derived Fuel technologies were shortlisted, Engsolve collaborated closely with the client to identify a preferred vendor. This collaborative approach ensured that the selected solution balanced technical feasibility with long term commercial viability.
To support future development stages, Engsolve produced feasibility and conceptual designs site layouts for multiple locations. These designs gave the client a practical understanding of how the chosen technology could be implemented across various sites in the future.
As the project evolved, Engsolve’s role expanded to that of technical advisor, supporting the client during site assessments and investor engagements. Engsolve’s deep technical knowledge and structured delivery approach helped nullify early project risks and allowed for the project to be executed successfully.
