- Overview
Engsolve was engaged by a leading global provider of fuel cell technology to deliver process engineering support for the development of a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) package. The work formed a critical part of the client’s broader engineering and delivery strategy for their latest facility.
- Description of Services
Engsolve initiated the work through a series of teleconferences and site visits, aimed at understanding the client’s operational strategy and technical requirements. From this, a detailed heat and mass balance was developed, forming the basis for preliminary line sizing, equipment specification, and a comprehensive utility summary.
To support system design, process simulation models were built to evaluate pressure profiles across all fluid systems. In anticipation of the HAZOP review, Engsolve prepared detailed P&IDs, a Line List, Equipment List, and a preliminary Cause & Effect Chart.
A high-level pressure relief strategy was also defined, laying the groundwork for future refinement as the design progresses. Additionally, to inform the client’s OPEX estimates, Engsolve carried out a market review of available carbon dioxide scrubbing technologies.
